Tickets for the festival “Vivat Curlandia!” concerts are already available at the ticket offices of the Bauska Castle Museum, as well as in the sales points “Biļešu paradise” throughout Latvia.

Bauska was chosen as the venue for the Festival, since the castles built by the Kurzeme Kettler Dukes were the first ones to represent the manifestations of secular architecture and professional art of the Northern Renaissance in Latvia, and which brought the European way of thinking, culture and rudiments of Renaissance epoch, which, undoubtedly, had an impact on the development of cultural processes not only in Zemgale.

In its turn, at the present time, the Bauska Castle is the only secular architecture heritage of the Renaissance and Mannerism periods, which was not completely destroyed by the wars of the 17th - 18th centuries, and which materially represents this period in the history of Latvian culture.
